Project “Joblinge”
The number of young adults without professional qualifications is rising. In Germany, 2.8 million young women and men now have no vocational qualifications. There are various reasons for this: choosing the wrong apprenticeship or lacking direction, poor grades, little support from family or friends, and many other challenges. In times of skilled labor shortages, JOBLINGE tries to find young people with difficult starting conditions the right training or job.
JOBLINGE now has 30 locations in Germany where it helps young people find a training position. JOBLINGE's work is based on three pillars: activation, preparation, and placement in training, as well as support during training.
The JOBLINGE locations are organized as non-profit stock corporations, which are founded together with partners from the business community and the public sector. Companies, foundations, and organizations, as well as municipalities and counties, are involved as shareholders.
JOBLINGE focuses on the impact of its work. The participants are at the forefront, and the goal is always the same: training. JOBLINGE acts as a trial employer. From day one, the emphasis is on practical experience: company visits, workshops in and with companies, and internships. Each young person is assigned a personal mentor: people who are in the midst of their professional lives and who support the participants. The partner network consists of more than 4,000 companies nationwide. JOBLINGE attaches great importance to the evaluation and impact of its own work.
Since its founding in 2007, more than 25,000 young adults have been supported nationwide. With a placement rate of 77 per cent, JOBLINGE is significantly more successful than other institutions. In the Rhine-Main area, the placement rate is even higher at 84 per cent.
We like the targeted work that reveals untapped potential and provides an appropriate response to social challenges.
With the support of the non-profit foundation of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, a JOBLINGE training position was created in a portfolio company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG in 2012. Two young people completed a three-year vocational training program there. In 2025, the foundation renewed and intensified its support for JOBLINGE.
